The deal, in plain language.

These terms are between you and bpkm (“we”) and cover the bpkm iPhone app, bpkm Pro, and this website. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use bpkm. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data and is part of this agreement.

bpkm matches music from your Apple Music library to your running cadence, records your runs, and offers an AI voice coach you can talk to while you run. It needs an iPhone, an Apple Music subscription for music playback, and an internet connection for the coach and syncing. Some features may change, improve, or be retired over time.

bpkm is not a medical service and the coach is not a doctor. Nothing in the app is medical advice: not pace targets, cadence, effort cues, the coach's suggestions, or your run stories. Talk to a healthcare professional before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a heart condition, injury, or other health concern, and stop and seek help if you feel unwell.

You are responsible for running safely. Stay aware of traffic, terrain, weather, and the people around you. Keep the volume at a level where you can hear your surroundings. The coach is an AI and can be wrong; never let it override your own judgment about your safety or your body. Measurements like distance, pace, and elevation come from your phone's sensors and are estimates.

You need to be at least 13 to use bpkm. Keep your sign-in secure and don't share your account. Pick a handle that's yours and not someone else's name or brand. You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The app is free: the beat-matched music, routes, ghost races, the record, sharing, and your first coached run. bpkm Pro gives you the voice coach on unlimited runs, for $12.99 a month or $89.99 a year (local prices may vary and are shown in the app before you buy).

Pro is purchased through Apple and charged to your Apple ID. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it any time in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies, not by us. Request one through Apple. If we change the price, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel before it applies.

You own what you record: your runs, routes, photos, and share cards. You give us permission to store, process, and display them so the app can work: showing your history, generating your run story, rendering a share page you choose to make public. Runs are private by default; you decide what friends see and what becomes a public page, and you can change your mind later.

Music plays from your own Apple Music library under Apple's terms. bpkm reads song details to match tempo and never copies or stores audio. Tempo data that bpkm learns is shared in a community table keyed only by the song, never by you.

The coach, run stories, and song tagging are generated by AI from your own data. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or oddly confident. Treat them as a running companion's opinion, not a professional's. We don't use your conversations to train our models, and neither do our AI providers under our agreements with them.

Don't use bpkm to harass, impersonate, or endanger other runners; don't submit false runs or race results; don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the service or other people's data; and don't use it for anything illegal. We can suspend or close accounts that do, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents it.

bpkm (the app, its design, its name, its code, and its generated artwork styles) belongs to us. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. Apple Music, Apple, and other names belong to their owners; we're not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

bpkm is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or right about your pace. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of bpkm, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You can stop using bpkm and delete your account at any time. We can end or suspend the service, or your access to it, for a breach of these terms or if we shut a feature down, with reasonable notice where we can. Sections about ownership, liability, and governing law survive.

If we make a change that matters, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use bpkm after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer, you also keep any rights your local law gives you that can't be waived.
